Continental Scientific Drilling section
The science support by the continental drilling section is aiming to
- supporting plannning activities and Japanese participation in the International Continental Scientific Drilling Program (ICDP)
- reinforcing cooperation among the government, industry and academia
- issuing a guideline and making policy recommendations for the future drilling technology
- creating a network that shares scientific, technical, and human resources under the close cooperation with the IODP section.
